Last week Jenny and I flew off to San Francisco, CA to be with her brothers during their liver transplant. Trent donated 60% of his liver to their brother, Nick. Both are still in the hospital, but recovering very quickly and will be going home soon! I came back to Missouri yesterday, but Jenny will stay in San Francisco to help out with taking care of her brothers during the long recovery from home. Today I’m driving to Springfield to pick up Kodi so that Jenny won’t have to worry about it when she gets back, so tomorrow I will be making a larger post with pictures!
My much needed time away from work and Columbia has finally started. I made it down to Springfield yesterday around 2pm. I was wanting to head down the night before, but I just had too much to get together and cleaned up around my apartment, plus I got to sleep more. It is so nice to not have to worry about work.
So last night after dinner Jenny, Mark and I went to the Mudd House in downtown Springfield. I had a frozen Tahiti Vanilla Latte. It was amazing, very well balanced between a coffee flavor and vanilla. We then walked around the square, decided that there wasn’t much to do downtown other than bars, so we came back to the Talbert’s house. We just chilled a bit, I took Mark back home, and then came back and went to bed. I slept for 13 hours!! I couldn’t believe how tired I was. Today we will be heading down to the Arkansas border to go camping. I’m extremely excited about this weekend. I will be writing a new blog post when I get back on Monday about the weekend. Until then…
