Family. Snow. Apple.
I decided to take a trip home for a couple days since I wasn’t able to spend much time here while home during Thanksgiving. I left work Monday and drove to Blue Springs. I enjoy being with my family and don’t get to spend much time with them. I was going to have dinner with my grandparents Tuesday night, but the snow came Tuesday morning and made it difficult for people to drive, so dinner had to be cancelled. It took my grandma three hours to get home from work, which normally takes her 45 minutes. It was not a good night to be out driving. The snow is really pretty though. I think we got more than what was predicted, it covered everything! So Tuesday I slept in, sat around and watched movies. It was a great day! Missy, my step-mom, was preparing dinner and asked me if I wanted her to do anything special for mine since I’m vegetarian. My dad was at WalMart, so I asked him to pick up a package of MorningStar Crumbles, substituting the ground beef that they were having in their soup. It was delicious. I love it that they make sure to have a vegetarian dinner for me.
So Wednesday was pretty much the same, except I was a little more productive. Today I submitted my application for a job at Apple. This is actually my second time applying there. I didn’t hear anything after applying the first time, so I submitted an application for another position. If I could afford to go with out a job for a little while, I would just quit my current job and then worry about getting another job later. Unfortunately I can’t. So right now I have to deal with my job and just be patient, painfully. So tonight I will make the drive back to Columbia and work in the morning at 8am.
New Years is coming up soon and looking for ideas of what to do. I want to spend the time with Jenny, Justin and Ryan. Jenny and I have talked a little about it, but I haven’t had the chance to talk to Justin or Ryan yet. We’ll see what happens.
I say you all pack up and head over here on a road trip
